This Special Issue delves into the recent advancements in fetal assessment, a field that has witnessed significant progress in recent years. The scope of this Issue is broad, encompassing novel imaging modalities, genetic screening and diagnostic methods, as well as advancements in fetal monitoring. By examining the latest research, we aim to provide readers with a comprehensive understanding of how these advancements are improving the accuracy and effectiveness of prenatal diagnosis and care.
Key areas of focus include the utilization of advanced ultrasound techniques which offer improved visualization of fetal anatomy and development, such as 3D and 4D imaging. Genetic testing has also undergone significant evolution, with the introduction of non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) and expanded carrier screening panels. These advancements have enabled earlier and more accurate detection of genetic abnormalities, allowing for more informed decision-making by parents and healthcare providers.
In addition, this Special Issue explores the latest developments in fetal monitoring, including the use of advanced biophysical profiling methods to assess fetal well-being. By combining various parameters such as fetal heart rate, movement and placental function, these methods provide a more comprehensive assessment of fetal health.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Diagnostics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
