Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Diagnostics in the emergency department is focused on defining the first clinical framework of critical patients admitted to hospitals. In recent years, different tools have been introduced to accelerate diagnosis in emergency departments. This innovation is particularly crucial to help emergency physicians both in the rule-out/rule-in of patients attending the ED, and defining the appropriate clinical setting for patients requiring hospitalization, reducing the length of stay of patients at the ED and the consequent overcrowding. This Special Issue is dedicated to scientific contributions regarding different aspects of innovative diagnostic tools used in the emergency department. We welcome a wide range of contributions, including reviews, original research articles and case reports.
