Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

In recent years, information security has become a widely discussed topic following the rapid development and the vast progress of network technology. Furthermore, with the development of quantum technology, the security of classical cryptographic schemes based on computational complexity will face serious threats in the future. However, using quantum physics to process information and building a network with quantum nature in a connected world has many positive effects. Quantum computers offer algorithm speedups, which are advantageous in interdisciplinary fields such as machine learning. Quantum secure communication, especially quantum cryptography protocol based on the principles of quantum mechanics, is unconditionally secure in theory, and it has already attracted the attention of many researchers. At present, quantum cryptography protocol has made significant breakthroughs, such as quantum key distribution (QKD), quantum key agreement (QKA), quantum secure direct communication (QSDC), and so on. This Special Issue focuses on advances in quantum secure communications for electronics, especially the several popular quantum cryptographic protocols that researchers are currently concerned about. In this Special Issue, original research articles and reviews are welcome. Its scope  includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • quantum secure direct communication (QSDC);
  • quantum private comparison (QPC) ;
  • quantum private query (QPQ);
  • anonymous quantum communication (AQC);
  • quantum identity authentication (QIA);
  • quantum secret sharing (QSS);
  • measurement-device-independent quantum key distribution (MDI-QKD);
  • semi-quantum key agreement (SQKA);
  • mutual authentication quantum key agreement (MAQKA);
  • controlled quantum key agreement (CQKA);
  • quantum conference key agreement (QCKA).
