Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Peptides are essential biomolecules that play critical roles in various biological processes, making them highly attractive targets for therapeutic interventions. In recent years, peptide chemistry has made significant contributions to the development of novel therapeutics and drug delivery systems. The discovery of bioactive peptides and their potential as therapeutics has opened up new avenues for the treatment of various diseases. Therefore, the field of peptide chemistry continues to be an exciting and rapidly evolving area of research with significant implications for modern medicine. There has been a significant surge of interest in peptide chemistry, with many advancements and breakthroughs leading to a better understanding of peptides’ structures, functions, and potential applications.

This Special Issue aims to bring together the latest research findings and advancements in peptide chemistry, with a focus on recent progresses in peptide synthesis, peptide stapling, chemo- and site-selective bioconjugation, and peptide multicyclization. We welcome original research articles and reviews covering the topic “Peptide Chemistry: Recent Trends and Advancements”.

We invite all researchers and experts in the field of peptide chemistry to submit their manuscripts and share their latest research findings and insights. We are committed to ensuring a rigorous peer-review process to maintain the high quality and scientific standards of this Special Issue. We hope you will consider making a submission and participating in this exciting and rapidly evolving field of peptide chemistry.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at mdpi.longhoe.net by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Molecules is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2700 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
